Spring Colour Trends For 2015

Hello lovelies,

It's me again and this time I'm going to talk about fashion. Each season brings new fashion trends and colours which determine our wardrobes. And while we are waiting for spring to come, Pantone®, the authority on colours, announced their spring 2015 colour trends. They are a mix of softer and cooler shades with underlying warm tones. Something fresh and familiar, colourful and trendy. And I have to confess I love all of them, but there are a couple that worth to be checked out more than the rest. So here is my top 5 spring colours for 2015:

Strawberry Ice

This adorable colour trend reminds me of a sweet and tender strawberry ice-cream and brings back hundreds of memories. Strawberry ice is a soft pastel pink that will look so good combined with gray, navy blue or tangerine. Since fashion trends quickly translate into interior design, you can use it as an accent in the home decor, too. Paint one of the walls or add some decorative pillows.

Tangerine

Another fun and juicy colour from the Pantone`s spectrum. Tangerine is an orange color hue used to give the impression of the tangerine fruit. It will totally rock with any of the blues or greens in this group. Muted orange is a real challenge for the interior designers. This is the way to add luxury and chic into the home decor.

Custard

“Custard is a delicious and delectable yellow. Sweet and sunny, Custard is a cheery tone that brings thoughts of pleasant relaxation and comfort food.” That`s what Pantone said about this colour. In my opinion it`s a great option for kitchen and living room walls. It will bring more personality to the space than beige for example.

Lucite Green

I don't know why they call it Lucite Green but I'm loving it. This soothing green shade reminds me of spring and inevitably leads my thoughts to the upcoming spring cleaning, but that`s a different story. It`s best paired with coral, scuba blue and brown. While paint remains the obvious solution, pillows and vases are another easy way to bring in the newest colours into your home.

Scuba Blue

Imagine scuba diving in the deep blue waters of the Caribbean. Scuba blue is a gorgeous shade of turquoise. Deep and cool like the sea, and full of life. Works well with most colors, but it looks exceptional with other shades of blues and greens. I think it would be great to use this vibrant shade of blue as the main color in your sofa or chair fabrics and rugs. But keep in mind that you may need to use professional carpet cleaning services more often.

And, while using these colours in fashion is easy adding them into home interior is a little more complicated. The key to success is to add impact without disturbing the harmony of existing colours and pieces. "There are no ugly colours, only ugly combinations of colours." (Verner Panton).

So, which is your favourite Pantone`s spring colour?
