Removing tea stains from cups and mugs

Who would refuse a cup of warm sweet tea in the morning? However, no one likes the nasty mug stains on their cleaned table. Unfortunately, cleaning those brown rings that form around the top of your mug isn’t that easy at all. Imagine the embarrassment you will feel when serving your guests tea in stained mugs. Well, here is how you get rid of this problem.

  • Why tea does stain your mug top? These stains come from a chemical reaction called polymerization. It occurs when two or more molecules react to each other and form one molecule.
  • Baking soda cleaning method. Baking soda is one of the most multi-purpose products that you can find in every household. It easily removes all kinds of stains without damaging the surfaces and the best part is that it is 100 toxic-free. Therefore, in order to remove the nasty brown spots first wet the mug with cold water and sprinkle some baking soda over the brown area. Wait for 10 – 15 minutes and start giving it a good scrub. After that, wash it as usual with a dishwashing detergent. Ask your domestic cleaners Canary Wharf if they know some better way to do it.
  • Sea salt and vinegar cleaning method. Again, with this method you are using nothing but all natural products. This method is very similar to the baking soda technique, but instead of water wet the mug with vinegar and then sprinkle the sea salt. Wait for 2 – 3 minutes and start scrubbing until the brown spot is gone. Remember that you can clean almost anything with baking soda and vinegar the next time you need to do end of tenancy cleaning Hammersmith.

You should definitely try one of these non-toxic brown spot cleaning techniques to make your tea mug as good as new.
