Ever since I was a teenager I like thinking out of the box and crafting is the way to express myself. So having a special place designed for that purpose has always been a dream for me. A place where to create beautiful things and to be in connection with myself. That`s why my first post is all about creating the perfect craft space where anyone would be lucky to spend a day.
I`ve always like the idea of using a closet as a workspace. Turning a closet into a craft room is a great way to use available and probably wasted space, especially if it`s deep enough . The only thing you need to do is to make this area look cozy and organised. So here are some clever ideas on how to create efficient, attractive and inspirational craft nook:
1) Choose wallpaper or a fun color for the wall. Pick out colors and patterns that make you feel productive.
2) Utilize all of the available space. Put shelves above the desk where to keep storage boxes with items you don`t need very often. You can use labels or colorful containers for the different craft supplies.
3) Add rails to a side door to store ribbons or to keep wrapping paper handy. Another clever idea is to use magnetic tool holder for scissors and pins.
4) Purchase a handy drawer with different sized drawers where you can hold various items like paper, glue, tape scotch and etc. This is the way to deal with loose buttons and spilled glitter and save time and efforts whenever you are house cleaning.
5) Corkboard - an easy way to stay organized and to pin inspirations and reminders. It`s very practical indeed. You can use wine corks to create your own stylish board.
Craft closets are perfect for limited spaces. They are functional and fabulous at the same time. Just close the doors when professional carpet cleaners come so they can clean all the dust in front of your craft area. There is no better way to make a small space useful and way fun.
