Towels are spreaders of microbes

Among the biggest culprits for spreading of bacteria in your home are towels. This is proven in a recent study. Check out the reasons why:
  • The first reason is that they retain moisture for a long period of time, which is actually an ideal environment for the survival of the microbes. The other main reason is that the towels are used mainly in areas where there are many bacteria.
  • There are two types of bacteria on towels at home. These are E. coli and coliforms. A great percentage of bacteria is found also on the towels, used for the dishes. There are also coliforms which are actually contained in faeces and could cause diarrhea and food poisoning.
  • Scientists explain that after one wipe of your hands in the towel, you can touch any food or touch your mouth. This way bacteria will spread.
  • Kitchen towels are not the only problem. If the family uses a common towel in the bathroom, it can also spread the virus among family members.
  • Some people are washing towels at low temperature. This is not enough to completely kill bacteria on the towels. Experts advise housekeepers to wash them on higher degrees. Tell that to your domestic cleaners Hampstead, because they should increase the degrees of the washing machine next time.
  • Of course, the bacteria are all around us and sometimes using an object while eating, we do not even realize how many germs there are on it. According to a recent study, only one square centimeter of the computer keyboard has more than a thousand micro-organisms. So, better next time you dine, do not check something on your computer!
  • Scientists warn that unless we close the lid of the toilet and release water, bacteria can spread six meters away from the toilet.
Now, when you read this article, it’s about time to get up and start your Hampstead end of lease cleaning mission. Be very careful, because all this information shows that microbes are everywhere and they are easily spread. Excellent personal and home hygiene are mandatory.
